have just been ranomly thinking ( those of you who know me know i am random) but why and how did america get so f'd up and materialistic.....? as i browse through my space (and life in general) and i have actually become aware of the fact of how shallow people really are/ and yes everyone goes through there high school tommy hillfiger phase (God knows i was a label whore once upon a time) but mabey it is age and observation and the field i work in that make me upset that people can make the statement "FASHION IS MY LIFE" if you wanna look nice right on !! but it seems as if people would spend money on clothes than people/ 200-300 dollar jeans....and the fact that our school systems are suffering but manolo blannik can get millions of people to buy 400 dollar shoes is a bit sad....everything is a status symbol with our people...i've noticed that the people with real money never flaunt it ...but we ride around with rims gucci bling with no investment nothing in the bank and a foul attitude/ i have seen the children that i work with strive for these unobtainable goal of material things because their fav rapper has it/ its sad/ no one wants to be "ok any more / house kids carnote morgage/ now apparently we are to good for that we want OVER THE TOP/ no one is content.....kids know all about diamonds( another subject another time) rims keys and other bs but no one informs them on savings 401k mutual funds IRA's or anything else that will help them gain financial security /DAFUR/CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE/ FAILING SCHOOL SYSTEMS/ AIDS/ RACSIM/AUTISM/CHILD ABUSE/POVERTY/INJUSTICE OF BROWN PEOPLE/ SEPARATION OF BLACKS/IMPROPER GOV FUNDINGi guess as long as you look good on the outside and have every expensive name on your back these issues in life can be temporarily erased from society......don't be distracted, while you're poppin tags life is going on ......We, who have so much, must do more to help those in need.
